No, no. Not Dine Out Vancouver, but Dining Out for Life. I know, it’s kind of confusing, but…okay, let me back up here.
Dining Out for Life is an annual fundraiser for A Loving Spoonful (ALS) and Friends for Life (FFL), two local charities that support people living with HIV/AIDS.
This year’s event takes place on March 12, when more than 200 restaurants donate 25% of that day’s food profits to ALS and FFL. Also, during the month of March, Sumac Ridge Estate Winery will donate $1 from each bottle of wine sold at BC restaurants and liquor stores.
You can help by:
- Marking your calendars and planning on eating at a participating restaurant on March 12.
- Talking to your favourite restaurant to see if they’re interested in participating, and then get them to sign up here.
- Volunteering to be a restaurant ambassador. You’ll join a team of nearly 150 energetic, dynamic people who are helping raise money for a great cause.
- Organizing your association, social or networking group to adopt one, or several restaurants. If your company supports a community development program, see if they’d like to get involved. Start a competition between company departments to see who can raise the most money.
